Clinical Supervision and
Private Practice Consulting

Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision to therapists who are in their first 10 years post-masters, as well as therapists-in-training who are in grad school. In supervision, our focus would depend on what you’re seeking, but possible topics include:

  • Self-care and work-life balance

  • Exploring possible approaches to working with a particular client

  • Debriefing from challenging, stressful, or complex sessions with clients

  • Discussions on possible areas for clinical growth and/or career next steps

  • Collaborative documentation (writing progress notes with your clients)

  • Ways to incorporate mindfulness into sessions

  • Assessing and navigating situations related to client suicidality risk

  • Understanding mandated reporting

  • Documentation clarity and efficiency

  • Grief/bereavement from a narrative therapy perspective

  • Navigating your work environment and/or interactions with colleagues

I have direct experience as a therapist in private practice, as a high school social worker, and as a therapist in a community outpatient mental health clinic. My approach to work with clients is collaborative and individualized, and I draw from a number of different clinical approaches. If you’d like to know more about my approach, please see this page.

Cost and Timing Info:

  • $205 per 55-minute video meeting.

  • Supervision meetings are most often weekly or bi-weekly, but other frequencies are possible, too, depending on your goals.

  • With all potential supervisees, I start with a free video consultation (usually around 15 minutes) so that we can meet, discuss any questions you might have about working together, and make sure it feels like a good fit both ways.

Private Practice Consulting

I also offer consulting to therapists who are considering starting a private practice, in the midst of launching their practice, or are already up and running. We can talk about whatever would be most helpful for wherever you are in your journey, and I look forward to helping guide and support you through each step of your process!

Many people find that there are so many aspects of setting up and running a practice to consider, along with a lot of information out there to sift through, not to mention endless possible approaches to any given question or situation. My intention through private practice consulting is to provide ideas, support, and resources that can help the process feel more manageable – and support you in having a practice that matches your preferences and goals!

Topics can include:

  • Finding clients who are a great fit

  • Business set-up steps and logistics

  • Documentation considerations

  • Ways to structure the initial client consultation call

  • Ways to approach the intake process with clients

  • Self-care and work-life balance

  • How to give yourself paid time off(!) – and other bank account and budgeting topics

  • Navigating risk and safety questions that can arise

  • Useful resources in particular topic areas

  • Connecting with colleagues if fully virtual

  • And more!

Cost and Timing Info:

  • $205 per 55-minute video meeting.

  • We can meet on an ongoing basis, or just once or a handful of times.

  • I’m happy to do a free consultation (usually around 5-10 minutes) first if you’d like, so that we can meet and make sure working together feels like a good fit both ways.
